Yesterday, I installed my first public art commission, 'Cultural Laminae'. The work is a four panel set for an entrance lobby to offices at Seattle Public Utilities. Three of the panels are beadwork and the fourth is a 30x50 inch map made of hand-stamped copper. Details on this work are on my website - http://scottschuldt.com/spucomm.html
I am an interdisciplinary artist creating content-driven and concept-driven artwork in a diverse selection of materials and themes with a very strong recent emphasis on nature and ecology. I was the Rubicon Foundation/Smoke Farm Artist in Residence for 2011-2012. I now live in Connecticut.
